1 of the scholarships will be reserved for a candidate presenting a research project on the following theme:

Smart Factory: new forms of governance between local and supranational level”

The latter theme is related to the aim of analysing and interpreting key political aspects of technological innovation. For political aspects we refer to:

a) the making of public policies (industrial policies, policies for innovation, as well as employment and socio-economic policies in a broader sense) through new forms of multi-level governance where the European Union (EU) has a key role through the activation of financial resources – e.g. structural funds; soft modes of governance and legislation;

b) and/or interest representation in the workplace and the broader communities concerned by the innovation of the economic and productive system, in a context marked by new forms of cooperation, consultation and concertation between institutions and interest groups.
