Research Areas

 

The research activity of the Management and Health Laboratory is specifically focussed on management, performance evaluation and organization of health services. Its aim is to:

  • enhance the fundamental logics of the public health system;
  • study its specificities and;
  • verify the impact of changes, in organizational and managerial terms, on the multiple dimensions of activities within Local Health Authorities (LHA) and university hospitals 

Some of the major strands identified for this purpose can be collected in the following research areas:

  • Tools and methods for performance evaluation
  • Policy and governance systems in health
  • Organizational innovation and management, planning and control mechanisms
  • User empowerment, communication and management innovation services
  • Integration and management of complex care pathways
