DATA PROTECTION OFFICER COURSE AT SANT’ANNA SCHOOL PROVIDES PRIVACY AND GENERAL DATA PROTECTION REGULATION AWARENESS TRAINING: APPLY ONLINE BY 2 NOVEMBER 2017

This privacy awareness five-day course is a highly-interactive training on personal data privacy responsibilities and protections. The course will prepare experts for the role of a Data Protection Officer (DPO) to implement and manage a compliance framework aligned to the General Data Protection Regulation (EU 679/2016), taking effect on 25 May 2018.

The General Data Protection Regulation will be directly applicable in all Member States; it places accountability obligations on data controllers and processors who must designate a Data Protection Officer (the DPO) as part of their accountability program. The DPO training course, based on the Data Protection Regulation and best practices, offers lecture sessions, practical exercises and real case discussions.

Participants will develop an in-depth knowledge of new requirements brought by the EU Data Protection Regulation, gain decision making expertise, use tool to perform assessments, learn how to support an organization in the implementation of the new procedures and interact with national data protection authorities. After successfully completing the exam, students will receive a participation certificate of 2 CFU credits.

This course is taught by professional Privacy and Data Protection Faculty of Garante Privacy, Sant’Anna School, Free University of Brussels, and University of Pisa.
