The fundamental scientific activities of the Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies include the development and transfer of new technologies. The exploitation of the results of scientific research is one of the institutional tasks of the Sant'Anna School. The Knowledge Transfer Office is the internal structure in charge of coming up with the most appropriate ways to lead some research results to industrial exploitation, for the benefit of the community and the enterprises.
