POST GRADUATE EDUCATION DEPARTMENT

Responsibilities:

PhDs (Doctorate and Specialization):

  • activating courses, verifying and coordinating budget proposals;
  • managing selection procedures, according to agreements, in collaboration with Institutes for organizational and logistical aspects;
  • updating the website for what pertains procedures and competition announcements;
  • front office level II: managing registrations, providing support to obtain student visa in collaboration with the International Relations Department, handling student requests directed at the Teaching Staff;
  • managing student careers: keeping current electronic and paper files, issuing certifications, arranging investigations for the Teaching Staff;
  • managing student disbursements: informing the office staff on monthly scholarship payments and informing the Institutes on budget changes;
  • drafting reports;
  • updating personal data of PhDs and Postdocs in MIUR data bank;
  • partnerships with other Universities: supporting the drafting of agreements and processing related investigations, managing relations with the admissions office and other contact facilities of partner Universities;
  • formalizing relations with companies for industrial PhD positions and higher apprenticeships;
  • updating internal sources inherent to 2nd and 3rd level courses.

Master's Degrees:

  • partnerships with other Universities: supporting the drafting of agreements and processing related investigations, drafting documents for annual courses activation, managing relations with the admissions office and other contact facilities of partner Universities;
  • front office for students: providing assistance for registrations and DSU disbursement applications, providing support to obtain entry visa into Italy in collaboration with the International Relations Department;
  • managing selection procedures, according to agreements, in collaboration with Institutes for organizational and logistical aspects;
  • implementing and coordinating registry project;
  • issuing certifications for activities relevant to the School;
  • drafting reports.

Advanced Education:

  • activating Specialization and Master Courses;
  • managing student selection and admission process;
  • managing student careers: keeping current electronic and paper files, issuing certifications, arranging investigations for the Teaching Staff;
  • managing teaching assignments and severance packages;
  • managing the purchase of goods and services for the purpose of creating specialization and master courses;
  • managing the budget of specialization and master courses;
  • reporting of specialization and master courses;
  • drafting reports.

This Department consists of the following organizational units: PhD-Master degrees Office, Advanced Education Office.
