DIGITAL TECHNOLOGIES: GE Oil & Gas OFFERS 7-MONTH SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM TO STUDY predictive data-driven techniques in industrial applications
The ICT-COISP research centre at the Communication, Information and Perception Technologies Institute (TeCip) of Sant’Anna School and GE Oill & Gas collaborate to offer postgraduate scholarship programs to develop research on digital technologies. GE provides financial support for a 7-month period scholarship program focused on Artificial Intelligence, Predictive Modelling techniques, Machine Learning, and Data Analytics.
Computer and Telecommunication Engineering, Informatics, Mathematics, and Physics graduates are eligible to apply for the scholarship.
On 2 August 2016, Sant'Anna School Tecip Institute, GE Oil & Gas and Tuscany Region authority signed a Memorandum of Understanding to increase collaborative research and give the students the opportunity to gain postgraduate level predictive modelling techniques (mathematical algorithms used to learn the patterns in the big data and make trustworthy predictions) for the industrial system.
“This additional GE scholarship program is designed to develop digital technologies and support outstanding students with financial aid” – said Engineer Valentina Colla, as the coordinator of the ICT-COISP research centre.
Applications for the GE scholarship must be submitted by 15 November 2017.
