INDUSTRY 4.0 AND COMPETENCE CENTER: Sant’Anna SCHOOL RESEARCHERS DISCUSS SYNERGIES BETWEEN UNIVERSITY AND BUSINESS IN FLORENCE ON APRIL 10, 2018

Industry 4.0, the Italian Industry Renaissance and the Fifth Political and Economic Revolution. By establishing centers of excellence, Sant’Anna School will offer new technologies applications to societal and economic challenges, working closely with business, industry, and policy-makers. On April 10, at Confindustria Toscana- Florence, professor Paolo Dario of Sant’Anna School Biorobotics Institute, talked about research collaborations with business and industry through academic partnerships in the meeting “Competence Center. Opportunità per le imprese”, organized by Digital Innovation Hub (DIH) Tuscany and Sant’Anna School.

Through interdisciplinary research, Sant’Anna School scientists will identify and develop new synergies to create Competence Centers and coordinate innovation activities with external partners across academia, business and industry. Sant’Anna School research and professional practice will inform all levels of multilevel communication, information infrastructures and digital services, ensuring the relevance 5G-inspired paradigms and high-quality research in the framework of the Italian National Industry 4.0 Plan.
