Innovative techniques for fertility management in the agricultural field: the talk by Laura Ercoli, Full Professor at the Sant'Anna School, for the November 30th thematic meeting organized by the Georgofili Academy, in Florence

Taking place in Florence at the Accademia dei Georgofili on Wednesday, November 30th from 2:30 p.m., a day dedicated to "Tecniche innovative per la gestione della fertilità" featuring Laura Ercoli, Full Professor of Agronomy and Herbaceous Crops and coordinator of the doctoral program in Agrobioscience at the Sant'Anna School. The talk focuses on fertilization management, the state of the art and innovations in the context of sustainability.

The day will include an initial moment dedicated to institutional greetings by Simone Orlandini, professor of Agronomy and Herbaceous Crops at the University of Florence and advisor of the Georgofili Academy, together with Renato Ferretti of the Council of the National Order of Agronomists and Foresters (CONAF). This is followed by talks by Michele Pisante, professor at the University of Teramo, with a discussion about agronomic soil fertility and productivity of agricultural crops, Anna Dalla Marta, professor at the University of Florence, to discuss organic matter balances, and Marco Vieri professor at the University of Florence with an introduction to agriculture 4.0. In addition, Corrado Fenu and Pasqualino Tammaro, belonging to the Department of Sustainable Development of Plant, Animal and Agroenergy Production Systems, will speak on nitrogen recovery from biodigestate, while Mauro Uniformi (CONAF) on some experiences in organic matter recovery.
