“AGILE Justice: Innovation and efficiency in the judicial offices. The Sant'Anna School was the winner, within a network of other 10 universities, of a project worth 8 million euros aimed at setting up a control room for the implementation of the Offices for the Trial -area 3 (Lazio, Tuscany, Umbria) with a view to eliminating the backlog, the digital transition in the administration of justice and the balance between quality and efficiency of judicial decisions.
The research group of the Sant'Anna School, coordinated by Gaetana Morgante, Professor of criminal law and Director of the Dirpolis (Law, Politics, Development) Institute and in which the Rector Sabina Nuti will also participate, will bring a strongly interdisciplinary contribution to the project thanks to the expertise of jurists (Prof. Giovanni Comandé, Prof. Maria Gagliardi, Prof. Caterina Sganga, Dr. Denise Amram, Prof. Emanuele Rossi, Prof. Francesca Biondi Dal Monte, Dr. Giacomo Delledonne, Dr. Giuseppe Di Vetta, Dr. Gaia Fiorinelli and Dr. Roberta De Paolis), economists (Prof. Francesca Chiaromonte and Prof. Maria Francesca Romano), experts of public organizations management (Prof. Milena Vainieri and Dr. Francesca Ferré) and computer systems scientists (Prof. Tommaso Cucinotta).
The participation in the PON Governance 2014-2020 call of the Ministry of Justice is the result of a multi-year work carried out by the Dirpolis (Law, Politics Development) Institute and the EMbeDS Department of Excellence of the Sant'Anna School within the Predictive Justice Project (coordinator Prof. Giovanni Comandé), Text Mining applied to Justice and Legal Clinic Projects and by the MeS Laboratory of the Institute of Management in the organization and performance evaluation of healthcare system.
