LAURA MAGAZZINI, ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR IN ECONOMETRICS, JOINS EMBEDS
We welcome Laura Magazzini who recently joined the Institute of Economics of the Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies and EMbeDS as Associate Professor in Econometrics.
Her research interests are in the fields of industrial organization, economics of innovation, microeconometrics, competition policy and econometric methods. She has long-established experience in the analysis of microeconomic data, with a focus on the dynamics of innovation and competition that characterize the Life Science industry. With regards to econometric methods, her interests focus on estimation of linear (and non linear) panel data models both in a static and dynamic framework, limited dependent variable models, and on simulation-based estimation methods.
Laura has published in international peer-reviewed journals such as: The Economic Journal, Management Science, Nature Reviews, Research Policy, Economics Letters, Econometric Reviews, Journal of Evolutionary Economics, The World Economy, The European Journal of Health Economics, Empirical Economics.
Before joining Sant’Anna, she was Assistant and later Associate Professor in the Department of Economics of the University of Verona.
In 2004 she obtained her PhD at Sant’Anna. She graduated in Statistics for Economics at the University of Florence. During her graduate and undergraduate studies, she visited the Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, USA and the University of Sydney, Sydney, Australia.
