Bio

Chiara Seghieri is Associate professor of Social Statistics at the Institute of Management and L’EMbeDS of Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna of Pisa (Italy). Dr. Seghieri holds a PhD in Applied Statistics and over 20 years of experience as researcher. Her principal research interests of the last 20 years focus on the development and application of statistical methods for health services and outcome research, including assessment and performance evaluation of quality and costs of care, analysis of inequalities in health and in access to health care, data science methods for the analysis of patterns of treatment of patient with chronic conditions, analysis of patient preferences, health impact evaluation.

She has been the scientific responsible for Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna of several national and international project including H2020 EU projects: “DigiCare4You” - An intersectoral innovative solution involving DIGItal tools, empowering families and integrating community CARE services for the prevention and management of type 2 diabetes and hypertension), “HarmonicSS” - HARMONIzation and integrative analysis of regional, national and international Cohorts on primary Sjögren’s Syndrome (pSS) towards improved stratification, treatment and health policy making disease”  and FP7 EU project “QUALICOPC” - Quality and costs of primary care in Europe.
