Sant’anna school and tim strengthen partnership to drive technological change and innovation. active engagement with tim contributes to project UNIVERSITIM encouraging best research talents and new partnership funding

TIM has announced an innovative UniversiTIM project to attract, develop, and retain the best and brightest talent for driving technological change through higher education, research and innovation efforts. At the heart of TIM industrial strategy built on collaborative partnerships to tackle the global challenges, CEO Luigi Gubitosi emphasized the needs to retain top class talent, through fellowship programs to guarantee Italy’s place at the forefront of innovation.

The conference took place in Rome. Gubitosi highlighted the audience including President Salvatore Rossi, the Sant’Anna School, University of TrentoPolytechnic MilanoUniversity of Milano Polytechnic TorinoUniversity la Sapienza - RomaUniversity Federico II - Napoli, and University of Catania rectors, the group ongoing commitment to support excellent research activity with a corporate-university innovation ecosystem expanding the role of tech transfer in universities.

Taking an education-based approach to strategy development, TIM will focus on 5GIoTBig dataArtificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity. Playing a pivotal role in private sector R&D investment, TIM will fund and build talent through joint Competence Centers and digital innovation hubs developing effective research projects.

The partnership agreement will play a key role in supporting talented undergraduate students and researchers to improve their digital skills and boost their careers with internship opportunities at TIM. Ensuring strong engagement and support for the education sector, the UniversiTIM project will be critical to Italy’s digital innovation strategy, which is rapidly transforming companies and industries of the future. The project will explore new technology paradigms in digital-centric businesses to ensure successful corporate initiative and talented researchers personal success.
