Bio

Mauro Marinoni is an Affiliate researcher at Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna of Pisa, where he has been Assistant Professor (Ricercatore TD) from 2009 to 2020. He received his MSc in Computer Engineering at the University of Pavia (Italy) in 2003 where he also obtained his Ph.D. in Computer Engineering in 2007.
He has been working since 2007 at the Institute of Communication, Information, and Perception Technologies. His leading research topics cover Scheduling Theory, Operating Systems, and Energy Management for Real-Time systems, focusing on the integration of Real-Time enhancements in different application fields, from eHealth devices to autonomous systems and distributed systems. He has been the local coordinator of the FP7 JUNIPER project as well as several industrial projects exploiting the ReTiS Lab research outcomes.

His main research interests include:

  • Distributed Embedded Systems;
  • Power-Aware Scheduling;
  • Real-Time Operating Systems;
  • eHealth Systems and Medical Devices;
  • Autonomous Mobile Systems;
  • Sensors management.
