Bio

Master degree in Biomedical Engineering and attending PhD in Biorobotics. My research is focused on innovative mechanical design approaches to develop innovative surgical devices. I’m working on compliant mechanisms and origami inspired design to develop sustainable robotic surgical tools. In this way, my deep research is spread on mechanical design, mechanism and machine theory, smart materials, actuators and sensing. The main target is to design and evaluate new generation’s instruments for minimally invasive robotic surgery.
