INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS: RENEWED PARTNERSHIP WITH NANYANG TECHNOLOGICAL UNIVERSITY OF SINGAPORE FOR RESEARCH AND TRAINING IN BIOMEDICAL ENGINEERING

Sant'Anna School for Advanced Studies consolidates its partnerships with Singapore renewing the agreement for research and training activities with Nanyang Technological University, with a focus on areas such as industrial bioengineering; robotic surgery, robotic-assisted technology for diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation, precision engineering and mechatronics.

The new agreement was signed during the ceremony formalizing the academic cooperation with Singapore, on the occasion of the official visit of the President of Singapore to Rome. The agreement also included other academic institutions such as the University of Rome and the company AgustaWestland of Leonardo Group - Finmeccanica.

In particular, the cooperation agreement was signed by the rector of Sant'Anna School, Pierdomenico Perata and the vice president of Nanyang Technological University, Lam Khin Yong. The signing ceremony attended by the Minister Stefania Giannini took place at the Ministry of Education, University and Research in Rome.

Renewed partnership agreement provides for exchange of professors, researchers, students, joint research activities and the organization of educational events in scientific areas of common interest.

During the ceremony the rector Pierdomenico Perata has had the opportunity to meet Domenico Campolo, former phd students of Sant’Anna School, now associate professor at Nanyang Technological University and Louis Phee, Chair of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering, maintaining and enhancing relationship between the two institutions.
