HUMAN RIGHTS OF MIGRANTS: SANT’ANNA SCHOOL OFFERS POSTGRADUATE COURSES ON IMMIGRATION AND ASYLUM BETWEEN MARCH-MAY 2019. APPLICATION DEADLINES MARCH 7, 28, AND MAY 16, 2019
Sant’Anna School Dirpolis Institute (Law, Politics and Development) and the Association for Juridical Studies on Immigration (ASGI) offer postgraduate courses in immigration and asylum law starting on 14 March 2019. The program will provide participants with the opportunity to study the most up to date legal responses to the migration phenomenon. The courses consisting of three modules are taught over nine classes at Sant’Anna School – Pisa, from March 14 to May 25, 2019. Registration for Module 1 is open until March 7.
On 14-16 March, Module 1 covers key topics: international migration, human trafficking and exploitation (application deadline is 7 March 2019). On 4-6 April, Module 2 covers key topics: migration, environment and climate change (application deadline is 28 March 2019). On 23-25 May, Module 3 covers key topics: international protection, complementary protection and asylum regulations under European and National Law (application deadline is 16 May 2019).
Participants may take each of the three modules separately. Additional information and timetable are available in the brochure attached. The ASGI members and Sant’Anna School postgraduate programs alumni enjoy a discount on all courses. On successful (examination) completion of the three modules, participants earn 20 training education credits (for lawyers) or 3 ECTS credits. 1 ECTS credit is awarded for one single module. 7 training education credits (for lawyers) are awarded for Module 1 and Module 3. 6 training education credits (for lawyers) are awarded for Module 2.
