Living Books

"Living Books" is a pre-event of Bright-Night, the Night of researchers of Tuscany organized by the Library and the Public Engagement Unit

Libri viventi

In a traditional library, you choose a book from the shelf, open it and start reading. In the living library, however, you approach a person who represents a living "book" and listen. Each "book" is a real person with a unique story to tell, often linked to prejudice, discrimination or stereotypes.

The beauty of the living library lies in meeting face-to-face with people you may never have the opportunity to meet otherwise. It's an opportunity to ask questions, listen without judgment, and broaden your perspective.

The Sant'Anna School has organized the LIVING BOOKS initiative for Saturday 21 September 2024. Starting at 5pm it will be possible to borrow living books and listen to incredible stories from people connected to Sant'Anna School.

To participate, booking is mandatory.
