SDG 4: Quality education

SDG'S 4 - Quality Education

Sustainable Development Goal number 4 (SDG 4) aims to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all. This goal is fundamental to building a more sustainable and prosperous future for everyone.

Education is the key to personal and social development, and to promoting peace and tolerance. Quality education enables people to acquire the knowledge and skills they need to find decent work, contribute to their personal and community development, and become active and responsible citizens.

The SDG 4 target includes several specific targets, including:

  • Ensuring that all boys and girls complete free, equitable and quality primary and secondary education.
  • Increasing the participation rate in higher education, particularly for women and vulnerable groups.
  • Significantly reducing the illiteracy rate.
  • Increasing the number of qualified and trained teachers.
  • Building and improving school infrastructure.
  • Promoting education for sustainable development.

Education is an investment in the future, and achieving SDG 4 is essential to creating a more just and sustainable world for all.
