Bio

Marco D’Alonzo received the B.Sc and M.Sc degrees in biomedical engineering from the University of Pisa , Pisa, Italy, in 2005 and 2008, respectively. He received the Ph.D. degree in Biorobotics from the Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna, Pisa, Italy, in 2012.
He is currently Post-Doc Fellow at Artificial Hands Lab in The BioRobotics Institute of the Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna. He was visiting student at the Neurorehabilitation Department of Goettingen University, Goettingen, Germany, in 2012.
Dr D’Alonzo has been working in several EU funded projects (NANOBIOTACT, NANOBIOTOUCH, WAY, CogLaboration, CyberLegs) and national funded projects (MyHAND, INAIL PPR3). His research interests include psychophysics of touch, haptic feedback devices, sensory substitution devices for prosthetics, biomechanics of fingertip tissues and artificial tactile sensing.
