"CRISIS, EUROPE, JOBS": DIRECTOR OF THE INSTITUTE OF ECONOMICS AT THE MEETING WITH GOVERNOR OF BANKITALIA IN FLORENCE

"Crisis, Europe, Jobs" is the title of the round table organized by Donatella della Porta, dean of the Institute of Human and Social Sciences of Scuola Normale Superiore, scheduled in Florence's Palazzo Strozzi, 6th May 2016, with the participation of Ignazio Visco, governor of the Bank of Italy, and Giovanni Dosi, director of the Institute of Economics at Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna.

Over the past six years, Italian and European economies have found themselves facing challenges of exceptional severity, the repercussions of which have not yet been entirely overcome. These challenges are inscribed in the process of change in the longer term, driven by technological innovation and demographic changes.

Ignazio Visco, Governor of the Bank of Italy, some of the greatest Italian economists such as Giovanni Dosi, full professor of political economy and director of the Institute of Economics at Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna, Mario Pianta, professor of political economy at University of Urbino and Alberto Quadrio Curzio, president of the National Academy of Lincei, will discuss on the implications of the recent economic crisis, the structural changes in the labor market and the organization of Italian society within the European framework. The round table "Crisis, Europe, Jobs" will be held on May 6, 2016 at 5.00 pm in Palazzo Strozzi ("Altana" room), the headquarters of the Institute of Human and Social Sciences of Scuola Normale Superiore.
