NESCI2 - the new meeting of the Network for Statistical and Causal Inference
L'EMbeDS is proud to comprise the Network for Statistical and Causal Inference (NESCI) as part of its community. NESCI was founded in 2022 by Lorenzo Casini, Gustavo Cevolani, and Alessio Moneta with the goal of fostering collaborations among researchers from Sant’Anna, IMT, UniPi and SNS. NESCI promotes the development of methods applicable across the sciences – with a special focus on experimental and machine learning methods, and the exchange of results among researchers from the participating institutions. NESCI regularly organizes events in Pisa and Lucca with the option for remote participation; its Mission Statement can be found here.
In February 2, 2024, a new NESCI meeting will be held at the Sant'Anna School, in Aula Magna (Piazza Martiri della Libertà, 33). Remote access will be available at the following link. More details on the program of the event can be found in the downloadable pdf document.
Past NESCI events include
-Kick-Off Event, held on March 2, 2023 at the IMT in Lucca
-Pilot Workshop on "Causal Inference, Aggregation, and Heterogeneity”, held on November 24, 2021 at the IMT in Lucca.
NESCI is also already planning its third meeting, NESCI3, to be held in at the IMT in Lucca in July 2024 (date and program TBA).
