Public Expenditure Review: Rector Sabina Nuti appointed to the Scientific Committee to guide and plan activities. Appointment by the State General Accounting Office for "recognised expertise in public finance and public policy evaluation"

Along with Rector Sabina Nuti, members of the committee are Marzia Romanelli, representing the Bank of Italy (Banca d'Italia); Giovanni Savio, representing Istat (Istituto di Statistica); and Marco Pieroni, representing the Court of Auditors (Corte dei Conti)

The State General Accounting Office (Ragioneria Generale dello Stato), a department of the Ministry of Economy and Finance (Ministero dell'Economia e delle Finanze), has appointed Sabina Nuti, Rector of the Sant'Anna School, as a member of the scientific committee on public spending review, with "functions of guidance and planning of analysis and evaluation activities". Sabina Nuti was appointed "for her high technical scientific profile and recognized expertise in public finance and public policy evaluation".

The committee will have the task of supporting the State General Accounting Office, thus the Ministry of Economy and Finance and each Ministry in defining the methods and terms of monitoring public spending targets, having as a reference the quality and quantity of goods and services provided to the community.

Along with Rector Sabina Nuti, members of the committee are Marzia Romanelli, representing the Bank of Italy (Banca d'Italia); Giovanni Savio, representing Istat (Istituto di Statistica); and Marco Pieroni, representing the Court of Auditors (Corte dei Conti).  

"I am very honored by this appointment - says Sabina Nuti - and I thank the State General Accounting Office for the trust it has placed in me. I hope to be able to contribute to this issue that is so relevant to the sustainability of the Italian public system".
