Research Exchange 2023: the Sant'Anna School participated in the initiative created to encourage contact between the world of university research with startups, companies, incubators and investors

The 2023 edition of the Research Exchange has just ended, the annual and national event which involved companies, investors, universities, spin-offs, start-ups, groups and research centres. The XIV Forum co-organized by the University of Catania, with the patronage of the Sicily Region, took place from 25 to 27 October 2023 in the beautiful location of the Benedictine Monastery of Catania.

In addition to the plenary session, workshops and pitches, this year the Research Exchange has been enriched with the new Expo PNRR directory, the exhibition area, within the Forum, dedicated to projects financed by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan.

Each project had a dedicated space available where the delegates held one-to-one appointments with the entities of interest.

Tthe One to One meetings were the innovative element of this edition. The Preview session, made available two weeks before the event, allowed delegates to plan all the meetings by selecting the actors most in line with their interests.

Spin-offs and startups presented their business ideas to the entire audience of the Forum by participating in the pitch session which constitutes a moment of further evaluation for companies and investors.

For the Sant'Anna School there were three spin offs: Accelerat srl with Giorgio Maria Cicero, AIVESP srl with Francesco Tansella and SoundSafe Care srl with Andrea Mariani and Laura Morchi.
