The Sant'Anna Science Café kicked off its first evening by selling out and offering attendees an evening of science, music, and the tasting of excellent chocolate. The event was a combination of knowledge, entertainment and sensory pleasure, capturing the interest of the audience.
The evening was opened with an introduction by Debora Angeloni, associate professor at the Institute of Biorobotics of the Sant'Anna School and scientific coordinator of the Sant'Anna Science Café, to introduce and thank Donato Romano, assistant professor at the Institute of Biorobotics of the Sant'Anna School. Debora Angeloni's speech emphasized the importance of initiatives such as the Sant'Anna Science Café in promoting scientific culture and creating moments of sharing and growth. Donato Romano, then gave his workshop entitled “Fantastic Animals and How to Imitate Them.”
For over an hour, Donato Romano explored the extraordinary world of animals and the amazing adaptation strategies that nature has developed. The assistant professor illustrated how biomimetics, the science that studies nature's biological and biomechanical processes for technological inspiration, can lead to amazing innovations.

The evening changed tone with the start of the Dè Isintreusu concert. Their repertoire of light, folk and blues music created a warm and engaging atmosphere. The evening concluded with a chocolate tasting by Cecilia Iacobelli and Paul De Bondt, the signature chocolate couple. Participants had the opportunity to taste different types of chocolate, accompanied by herbal teas.
