Threpsy won the Demo Day Start Up Lab 2024, a contest among the best student start-up ideas held in Trento. Sant'Anna School's participation in the winning team
Award-winning idea is up-to-date and innovative: uses artificial intelligence to revolutionize diet management, creating personalized and adaptable food plans in real time
The entrepreneurial project Threpsy, inspired by the ancient Greek notion of "nutrition", won the 2024 edition of the Demo Day Start Up Lab, a contest promoted by the University of Trento's Contamination Lab in collaboration with Hit-Hub Innovazione Trentino, which saw the participation of more than 70 students who came up with 15 projects.
The project
The idea behind Threpsy is up-to-date and innovative: the project uses artificial intelligence to revolutionize diet management, creating personalized and adaptable food plans in real time.
The team
The Trepsy team includes students who are passionate about innovation and technology: Alberto Giovannetti, honour student at the School, and Elisabetta Florio, both enrolled in the joint Master of Science in Innovation Management (MAIN), double degree between Sant'Anna School and the University of Trento; Stefano Tonini, a student in the EIT Digital Master in Autonomous Systems at the University of Trento; and Aadhithya Sankaranarayanan, a PhD student in Computer Science at the University of Trento. The team is united by a desire to improve nutrition management through the use of technology.
"Threpsy's achievement is not only a reward for our hard work, but it also opens up extraordinary new opportunities as well. We won participation in the upcoming Web Summit in Lisbon, one of the world's most important events for technology and innovation. Furthermore, we received a special award from FoolFarm, which will allow us to attend the Venture Building Acceleration program in Milan. This program will help us to accelerate the concept and development of our product, while also offering us the opportunity to be selected for their investment program. These awards provide us with the resources and support needed to take Threpsy to the next level and turn our vision into reality", comments Alberto Giovannetti on behalf of the group.
