Marco Solinas, a postdoctoral researcher of Political Philosophy at the Sant’Anna School Dirpolis Institute (Law, Politics and Development), discussed the “The Birth of Kapitalismuskritik” during the international Congress Friedrich Engels – The Timeliness of a Historic Figure at the Bergische Universität on February 19-20, 2020.
Celebrating Friedrich Engels’ 200th birthday, keynote speakers Terrell Carver, Carol Gould, Tom Rockmore, and Wolfgang Streeck engaged with scholars and experts to debate the philosophical legacy of Engels’ scientific achievements, political journalism and political activism.
In Engels’ birthplace Wuppertal-Barmen, Marco Solinas focused on Friedrich Engels’ radical and enduring critique of the social impact of capitalism.
