The Sant’Anna School project named “LEI”, an acronym for Legalità, Etica, Inclusione - Integrity, Ethics, Inclusion in the Public Sector, has been successful in receiving financial contribution from the SNA (Scuola Nazionale dell’Amministrazione) to enhance Public Sector integrity.

Bringing together academics from Italian universities, and the Sant’Anna School research team including Professor of Criminal Law Gaetana Morgante (team leader, Dirpolis – Law, Politics and Development - Institute), Alberto Pirni (Moral Philosophy, Dirpolis Institute), Giuseppe Martinico  (Comparative Public Law, Dirpolis Institute), Elena Vivaldi (Constitutional Law, Dirpolis Institute), Francesco Testa (Business Management, Institute of Management),and Anna Maria Murante (Business Management, Institute of Management), the LEI project will address key topics in the public procurement framework and contracting authority acts to strengthen sustainable procurement and public services that meet the expectations in terms of accessibility, timeliness, and reliability.

“By adding value to ethics and inclusion, the LEI project aims to increase local integrity systems, citizen participation in policy making, effectiveness and efficiency of quality public services. We should identify better integrity policies for building trust. A better governance and the fight against corruption through accountability will enable us to increase the citizens’ levels of trust”, said Gaetana Morgante.
