The rights and family life of migrant children in the European Union. The Summer School of the Sant'Anna School is starting: registration is open until Tuesday 15 June
Registration open until Tuesday 15 June for the Summer School "Family life and rights of migrant children in the European Union" organized as part of the Jean module Monnet MARS (Migration, Asylum and Rights of MinorS) of the Dirpolis Institute (Law, Politics and Development) of the Sant'Anna School with the support of the Erasmus Program of the European Union. The Summer School will be held online and will be divided into three sessions: from 23 to 25 June, from 15 to 16 July and from 19 to 20 July; is aimed at professionals (public officials, lawyers, consultants, legal operators, tutors), academics, PhDs, students who intend to update knowledge and skills.
"Every child in Europe and in the world should enjoy the same rights and be able to live without suffering discrimination, recrimination or intimidation of any kind", states the EU strategy on the rights of the child, but "there are many challenges that await the European Union and the national states in the protection of children's rights on European territory and on the borders of Europe ", highlights Francesca Biondi Dal Monte, scientific coordinator of the Summer School and researcher of Constitutional Law at the Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies, highlighting how this course aims to increase awareness and knowledge about the rights of children of professionals working with and for children and of researchers, contributing more generally to the correct application and interpretation of international standards and EU law in the field.
