The project envisages the development of actions to favor the decarbonisation of energy-resource intensive industrial sectors through industrial symbiosis approaches that integrate technological solutions with new business and managerial strategies. The application will take place through the involvement of three industrial areas in Italy, Spain and Sweden. The implemented approaches will be shared during the project with other European industrial areas (Spain, Austria, Poland and Turkey). In addition, the economic, environmental and managerial effectiveness of the implemented solutions will be assessed and a strategy will be structured for the replicability of industrial symbiosis initiatives in other contexts.
