Green Public Procurement is becoming increasingly important at the European level as a tool to support the Circular Economy and the European Green Deal.
The ERASMUS+ GREENER project is part of a series of more than ten-year activities of the Sustainability Management Laboratory on the theme of Green Public Procurement.
The objectives of the project are as follows:
1. Improve the skills/knowledge of administrative profiles dealing with purchases, within SMEs, on GPP criteria, including eco-labels, eco-design of products, extended producer responsibility, etc;
2. Improve the adaptability of traditional profiles, such as administrative profiles working in the tender offices of SMEs, to the future demand for skills (requalification training course);
3. Increase the employment opportunities of students of professional training institutes;
4. Improve the training of stakeholders in the contexts involved and create awareness on the influence of green public procurement on the adoption of sustainable consumption and production models by companies;
5. Promote the attractiveness of vocational education and training institutions by relaunching the close collaboration between VET, public administrations, government agencies and bodies supporting the development of SMEs and SMEs, transparency tools for validating skills and the capacity of trainers to apply an international approach to education.
