The project is funded by the European Commission LIFE Programme and aims to decrease marine litter in coastal areas by stimulating companies to prevent waste. Marine litter represents a serious danger for the ecosystem services that the sea is providing to companies, especially those operating in the tourism sector. The research activities of the project aimed at involving companies and citizens in actions to prevent the loss of this important ecosystem service, by implementing different management and policy instruments.
