WORKING IN INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION AND DEVELOPMENT: DEPUTY FOREIGN MINISTER Mario Giro TALKS ABOUT JOB OPPORTUNITIES ON OCTOBER 6 AT PISA Internet Festival

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Mario Giro will participate in the Internet Festival at the invitation of University of Pisa, Sant’Anna School, Scuola Normale Superiore, and Scuola IMT Alti Studi Lucca.

Minister Mario Giro will give his talk on “Job Opportunities in International Cooperation” on October 6 at Cinema Arsenale Theatre, 11.30 am.

During his speech at the Festival, the Minister will describe a range of job opportunities in international development and related fields:  NGOs, charities, non-for profit organizations, supporting programmes in health, education, and social development.

The conference in Pisa provides a platform for debate on current issues. International Cooperation will be further discussed at the 2018 Primo Forum Nazionale della Cooperazione for a review of Italy’s latest progress in international development cooperation.

Minister Giro will outline the priorities for the Italian foreign policy, including addressing migration, sustaining peace and promoting human rights. On human rights and peace, Mario Giro will stress the role of Higher Education Institutions investing in youth and sustaining peace. He considers universities should be active in their cultural commitment and contribute at all levels on development cooperation.

Sant’Anna School students engaged in development cooperation will discuss their experience and expectations with Deputy Minister Mario Giro as an active facilitator.
