EMBEDS SEEKS TWO NON-TENURE TRACK (3-YEAR) ASSISTANT PROFESSORS IN STATISTICS AND BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION

As part of the recuitment associated with EMbeDS, the Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies has opened a call for the recruitment of two non-tenure track Assistant Professor positions with full time (3-year contracts) with full time, 3-year contracts ("Ricercatori a tempo determinato") under Italian Law no. 240/2010, art. 24 paragraph 3 letter A.

For these position, which will be will be based in the Institute of Management of the School, the Academic Recruitment Fields and Displines are, respectively, “Demography and social statistics” SC 13/D1, “Social Statistics” SSD SECS-S/05, and “Business Administration and Accounting Studies” SC 13/B1, “Business Administration and Accounting Studies” SSD SECS-P/07.

For the position in Business Administration and Accounting Studies the successful candidate will work on developing a multidimensional performance measurement system for the public sector, especially the healthcare sector, using big databases generated from administrative flows and surveys distributed to patients and civil servants. The activity will be complementary to research on the support for decisions in healthcare undertaken by the Health Area of the Institute of Management within the scope of the Department of Excellence EMbeDS

For the position in Social Statistics the successful candidate will be required to conduct research in the field of statistics and of its applications in to social, economic and business research areas. He/She will also apply statistical and data science methods for the analysis of large data sources in support of decision-making for environmental, innovation and healthcare management in the framework of the Department of Excellence EMbeDS.
