The research is part of the PRO3 project 'EO4AGRI', and its target is to achieve a full integration between the objectives of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) and the potential of the Copernicus program. The aim is to exploit the benefits of Earth Observation (EO) to achieve the new CAP objectives and to identify the best rules for enhancing Copernicus services for agriculture, given the new challenges posed by the CAP. These objectives will revolve around two specific targets: a) improving the climate and environmental sustainability of the Italian agricultural sector; b) compliance with social conditionality.
