Bio
I am a lawyer, Disciplinary Expert in private law and agricultural law (Roma Tre University) and a PhD candidate in agrifood law at Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies (PhD program in Human Rights and Global Politics). My research explores the intersection of urban food policy and food sovereignty, with a particular focus on food waste as a critical challenge within urban food systems. I adopt a multilevel governance approach, emphasizing the role of food sovereignty as a guiding lens.
As a trainee at the Municipality of Milan – Food Policy Office (MUFPP Secretariat Unit), I contributed to the HORIZON project CLEVERFOOD, conducting a comparative analysis of urban food policies in 50 cities across 29 European countries. The project aims to develop transformative governance models for multi-level food systems and to promote innovative food policies and legislation.
I then joined the European Commission as a Bluebook trainee in the Legal Service – AGRI Team, where I worked on key agrifood and environmental legal matters.
After completing a visiting period at the Universidade de São Paulo – Ribeirão Preto (Brazil), I began working as a legislative consultant for the Ministry of Agriculture (MASAF).
Beyond my academic and professional path, I have a passion for international experiences and meaningful connections. I spent six months in Auckland, New Zealand, as an exchange student, followed by an Erasmus in Nantes, France, and a volunteer project in Granada, Spain. I graduated in Law from Roma Tre University (110/110 cum laude) in 2018 and later earned an LLM in Food Law from the same institution.
