ENGINE - Engaging Men and Boys against Gender-based Violence and Discrimination through Technology-based Trainings
ENGINE is a project coordinated by Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna and carried out in partnership with ARTES 4.0 - Centro di Competenza and Centro di Ascolto Uomini Maltrattanti. It will design and implement dedicated trainings to raise awareness on and combat Gender-based Violence and Discrimination, working on models of masculinities and training men and boys as allies.
The trainings will involve high school students, University students as well as their teachers and professors and also young athletes who are part of sports associations together with their trainers and sport managers.
The trainings will be designed by a multidisciplinary committee of scholars and experts in social and applied sciences and will also employ immersive virtual reality technologies aimed at addressing the physical, emotional and social aspects related to direct and indirect experiences of gender-based violence.
ENGINE is funded by the European Union through the CERV-2021-DAPHNE Programme.
